Hello! Welcome to this humble blog. I actually wanted to start writing a blog specifically for my teaching experience since I was a college student and was working as an after school tutor of many incredible students. Believe me, I have actually created this blog since two years ago when I tutored a first-grader named Ana, a sixth grader named Francesco, and a tenth grader named Marcella... (they all have grown up now and moved to other countries.. miss them so much though). Unfortunately, I didn't have any chance to write anything in it. =(
Now that I've graduated, I can finally have a full time job. What I can tell you so far is this: "There's no better job in the world for you than the ones which you are truly feels passionate about." It's barely my first month working as a kindergarten teacher, but I'm truly, irrevocably, in love with this job. I love the school. I love the children. I love the materials... and I love what I'm doing everyday. This is definitely a wonderful blessing from above.
Even though each day I became more and more certain that I am following my true calling as an Educator, I know there are lots of things I need to learn first. Well, in order to become a good teacher, I must first become a good learner, right? This time I'm going to use this blog as my tool of learning. This is my teaching journal and I'm dedicating this not just for my self, but also for all of my precious students, and to all of you whom I share the same passion with.
So, I'm going to post interesting things that are related to teaching that I encounter everyday. I'm going to write about the funny things, the serious things, the challenges... everything that happened on the school ground. Feel free to give me some feed-backs or ideas related to the subject of the post.
Oh yeah, by the way, in order to protect everyone's privacy I'm going to try my best not to mention any of my student's or co-workers real names... so don't bother finding them out yourself yaa... =) Okay, at last... I'm going to say.. happy reading :)
One more thing, I named this blog after a lyric of a phonic song which I still have no idea who composed it :(.. Well, if you know who that person is, please tell me his/her name so I could give credit to him/her.
yours truly,
Ms. K
